I saw this guy (and his very fabulous t-shirt) at a blues festival a few weekends ago. The place was teeming with people and 85% of 'em were wearing Harley Davidson t-shirts (i'm only slightly exaggerating), so his really jumped out at me. (click on the photo for a larger version ...)
I keep meaning to write a post about the festival, but my crazed/busy schedule and my damn perfectionist tendencies (i want to write a really GOOD post; a funny and deep and meaningful post that will change the world [yeah, i'm not setting myself up am i?] blahblahblah) ... well, it was just taking too damn long.
And when it all comes down to it, this t-shirt doesn't need some big deep discussion and analysis, does it? It's funny, deep and meaningful all on its own. (don't know if it could change the world, but maybe...?)
Ernie, Bert. Hell, Cookie Monster even. Just be.
Cool shirt. I named my very first car Ernie, after the S.S. character.

Hmmmmmm. What's a TypeKey????? I like that shirt. So I've never done this before. I'm afriad to make a mistake! :-) The comments don't show on the main page, right? People have to click on "comments" to read them? The best t-shirt I've seen recently was on a baby, and it said "I might barf." Very cool. So what was this Bert guy doing with all the Harley guys?????

Yes! That really is a great shirt. Love it. And I'm glad you 'just did it' and got the post up (... she says, feeling sheepish that she suffers from the same perfectionistic tendencies when it comes to blogging ... ugh).
Someone told me recently about www.spreadshirt.com, where it looks like you can create custom t-shirts, and there are no minimum orders. So ... if Will wants a 'just be' shirt, he can create his own original version. How cool is that? It's giving me lots of ideas :-)

I totally love that shirt. Did he say where he got it?
I had a false start trying to blog about a year before I got my current one going for the same reasons you state. I wanted to be profound and philosophical and alter peoples perception in some guru fashion. After a year I figured out that I wanted to be part of the blogosphere more than I wanted to be considered deep. I have a reflective post every now and again, but most of it stays pretty light, but oh well.
I'm glad you decided to just post. When I'm blog rolling (and you are on my daily read list--so I check in often) I just want that little bit of alternate perspective that can help me see the world as a little larger than my cubicle.
Like this post. It was perfect for the occasion.
Blog on.
